NEW:  December 2014:  After 1 month of testing (including Alpha, Beta and Field testing), the FREE STAR* team is pleased to release an install document for the BeagleBone BLACK (single board computer with an ARM processor, running Debian Wheezy).   A Quick Install Guide can be downloaded from here.  Note - this method uses the stock / base Debian eMMC image.

The FREE STAR* team has developed a complete ISO image that will allow a 'bare metal' PC to be brought online as a fully functional FREE STAR* system in about one hour! 

Ask us about our offsite gateway solution for sites that do not have Internet access - works with ICOM and non-ICOM hardware!

PRE-REQUISITE:

A unique repeater callsign is required, which must be registered with the ircddb network.

Our images support the use of either an external GMSK node adapter OR the sound card software - we recommend the use of a USB sound fob - see URL on the FREE STAR* page.  This has been proven and is in use at many production sites!).

A CF / Microdrive image (for home-brewed systems) that fits on a 4GB Microdrive can be downloaded here.  This image can be used on systems such as HP Thin Clients and PC Engines Alix boards.
